Why did you choose KAUST?

KAUST is a new research university with a great vision aiming to be comparable to the world's top science and technology universities by 2020.

How did KAUST help you to achieve your career objectives so far?

KAUST is an ideal environment for students, with state-of-the-art research centers, guaranteed funding, and extensive collaborations with industrial partners leading to job opportunities for its graduates.

What is your research topic?

My research topic was related to the performance analysis of switching based techniques for wireless applications, such as multiuser scheduling, interference reduction in over-loaded Femtocells, and opportunistic spectrum access in cognitive radio.

What were your research accomplishments at KAUST?

My experience in research at KAUST was fruitful; during my master’s degree, I was able to have five publications in prestigious journals in the wireless communications theory field, and to attend top international conferences to present my research papers (such as IEEE VTC 2011 (Budapest, Hungqry), IEEE WCNC 2012 (Paris, France), and IEEE SPAWC 2012 (Barcelona, Spain)).

What do you think about the KAUST environment and social life?

KAUST offers an attractive residential life with state-of-the-art facilities. It allows students from different cultures to interact smoothly with each other.
